“The Fury went into their second match full of confidence against their High Pipe Smoking kin. However disastrously the Pipe's kick ends up in the hands of one of their own players, the Fury call foul - no-one should cheat but them! The rest of the first half is a scrappy affair with the ball changing hands just about every turn. Neither team is able to make it stick and a final Fury dash comes to nothing. Both teams suffered regular KOs but the Pipes seemed much more inclined to sit in the KO box and share some prize tobacco and only 1 of 4 Pipes made it back on in the second half versus 2 of 2 Furies.
With a distinct numerical superiority the Fury felt confident despite kicking and this was re-enforced by second game in a row 2nd half Get The Ref! result and a quick Pipes turnover. The Fury then set about further reducing the Pipes numbers before a scramble for the ball (Including a Misclick error from the Pipes) allowed them to take possession. Without numbers the Pipes could only offer token resistance and Anger scored for the second match running.
With one turn remaining all the Pipes could do was rack up a consolation COM and bash a thin Fury line.
The Fury good start to the season continues, not a game for the spectators, often resembling a Rookie Chaos vs Chaos bashfest but a tense and fun game for the coach against and always pleasant opponent.”
