“After a string of difficult losses/draws in league play, coach tz was determined to come out ahead this time around. After taking a pair of early serious injuries (both to Crash on turns 2 and 3) and using the team apothecary, the Swans found their only hope was to get down and dirty. Coach tz does not normally condone illegal play, but his patience had finally worn out. The fouling began.

The second half began with the score 1-0 in favor of the Swans, but they were at a man disadvantage with 2 serious injuries and a badly hurt player. The Swan fans were outraged and promptly "got the ref." Jangle got the second half rolling with a quick foul and KO to Algril Blackpalm, perhaps the Buzzers most dangerous player. With the linemen thirsty for blood, Bong was left all alone to fend for himself, and was easily overcome by the more fleet-footed Norsemen. The ball was lost, and the score was promptly tied up at 1-1. However, the Buzzers' knocked-out players did not come back.

The next drive was much more organized, and Bong was able to scoop up the ball, and run the length of the field pretty much unopposed. After some perhaps unsportsmanlike stalling, Bong rumbled into the end zone in the final seconds of the game - but not before the rest of the Swan's anger was taken out on Magnus Deepwell, who lost his life to a foul as he lay helpless on the pitch. Perhaps if Magnus was a more skilled player, he would not have ended up in that unfortunate position.

At the end of the day, coach tz is happy with the win, but feels a bit hollow inside. Oh well, he will get over it. After all, this IS Blood Bowl.
