“This was a hard-fought game with a deceptive scoreline. Tha action was close throughout and only a few key breaks by the Amazon's star player Emmanuelle were the difference.

The game could have ended very differrently if, at 1-0 Amazons, Grand Old Duke of York and Jack had conspired to convert their near-miss TD attempt. Unfortunately for them, they passed up a certain TD chance when a teammate failed a block. The Amazons rallied and held them off.

From then on the Dwarve's morale had been hit severely - whereas if they had scored, it would have been the Amazons who were in trouble, as they were looking at a second half kick off with little real chance to win the ball back.

Overall, this was an excellent game, characterised by both brilliant and flawed decisions from the sidelines.”
