#12 Ineluki – Smashed Knee (NI)
The two elf teams faced each other from opposites sides of the feild. One team from the dark forest the other from the dazzling spire cities. As befits the Elves the game was highly skillful, players from both teams were moving with an unearthly grace upon the field.

The wood elfs recieved the first kick off and though the first few turns passed uneventfully, an early skillful display of agility, evident of one who has spent countless years scouting the thick undergrowth of the forest, allowed Likimeya to score the first touchdown.
The wood elfs then kicked off and waited to meet the High Elves. The High Elves were able to start showing the regimental precision they are renowned for and were able to exert a small man advantage late in the first half. The High Elves looked certain to score, but it was only through an enigmatic effort by the undermanned Sithi that saw them fall back on the hit and run type tactics that Wood Elves are known for within their forest realms, and through sheer tenacity were able to prevent the High Elves scoring in the first half.

The start of the second half saw a continuance of the end of the first half. The High Elves were able to push their man advantage and slowly were able to extend their advantage, the stronger armor of the High Elves proving difficult for the Sithi to overcome. It appeared every turn another Sithi was forced from the field, until finally, it was beyond the effort of the last two Sithi on the field to stop the High Elves scoring, but it was the final turn of the last half, the score would remain a draw, and the High Elfs would walk from the feild with a new found respect for their bretheren from the forests, with no less than ten Sithi knocked out, badly hurt or seriously injured, the High Elves had still only managed to score one touchdown in a full 8 turns.

Surely to enter the forests of the Sithi is to entertain misery ...

All the ingredients were present for an exciting match in front of the assembled crowd, and the Prince Reagents provoked a more powerful reaction from the crowd than their less popular cousins.

Indeed, the mix of elf styles was the major influence on the play of this match... the wood elves, with their risky, flashy plays, scoring early despite thoughtful defence from their more militant brethren.

When it was time for the more structured and organised high elves to attempt a reply in the first half, Nuffle made it clear once and for all that he (or she) prefers games to be injected with more than a little pandemonium, scattering what should have been a routine short pass and next, tripping a charging player with little or no symmetry to the poor treatment meted out. For the Prince Reagents, the chemistry just wasn't there yet.

When the second half arrived, the high elves had to put reason and training on an equal footing with superstition, and play a cautious, compact marching formation, rolling down the sidelines and ejecting their unfortunate opponents to the tender ministrations of the crowd. Slowly but steadily, they at least partially compensated for their lacklustre first half, scoring a touchdown to equalise in the penultimate play period of the game.

With such a random collection of illogical mishaps occuring hither and thither throughout the game, no individual elf could find an adequate training program to boost his particular skills, but perhaps experience is a more subtle teacher for rookies early in the season.
