#5 Marshy – Broken Ribs (MNG)
Dead Run's couch has decided to hold the teams ogre Overload directly responsible for this defeat. Overload managed to fail on BONE HEAD many many times...............

Overload is the best ogre ever. Must have spent three quarters of the game just taking up space, boneheaded into stupidity.

That didn't stop the Dead slicing through a pitiful Darkness defence like a hot knife through butter. A pass and a handful of pows took out the centre of the field, and Squaw gambled along the top of the pitch. A last-ditch 2dblock resulted in nothing more than a push-back, and Squaw blitzed his way to the score.

The Darkness came back with a rolling witch-elf centred cage down the bottom of the pitch. Dead Run surrounded the cage, but some decent positioning and lucky 1dblocks gave Nightshade the chance to dodge her way to an equaliser.

Second time round we defended better, and took down a poorly protected ballcarrier as he stormed up the side of the pitch. The dark elfs won the pitched blocking battle that followed, but onesed the pick-up stopping any chance of a quick score. At the end of the half it stayed 1-1.

A T1 pitch invasion took out four players apiece, forcing a dramatic offensive strategy re-think. With no defence, the dark elfs took the ball down the more stunned half of the pitch. Sadly a miscount (human blitzers move 7 squares, doh) let the human 1dblock the ball carrier to the ground. Despite, this the delfs recovered to take the score.

A snake-eyes dodge messed up the resulting dark elf defence, but there was still enough time to recover, cage break, and sprint off for a T8 3rd.
