“Ultimately a very frustrating game. A blitz fortold a promising start. My team managed to get at the ball after a couple of turns but came up against some stubborn, if fortunate, defense. Every time it looked like I was gaining control, I might make a dodge to secure position and it would, rerolled, fail. Then, just when it was finally open for a touchdown, a miracle pickup and longbomb throw by a lineman meant Altdorf Juvenile Delinquents took the lead against the run of play. Diabolical blocking on the line of scrimmage meant zero chance of replying in the first half.
Second half, receiving, things start going from bad to worse. Hank's players make about 8 gfi's with a reroll to blitz my ag4 beastman deep in my half. I pull players back but roll a snake-eyes and, although there is light cover, his player 1d blocks the ball marker out the way and picks up the ball in wet weather without a problem. 2-0 and 2 fortunate touchdowns.
Still, time left to get back into the game and I bring it to 2-1 with 3 turns left. Under pressure his thrower fumbles. The ball is free. Just need to move his thrower and grab it, and surely a draw is on the cards. Of course a 3+ dodge required, failed with a reroll.
This game was summed up by my last turn. Out of frustration I rerolled a pushback block - double skulls. My rerolls were worthless in this match. His weren't. That was the decider IMHO.”
