The Fury scrape promotion from the regionals with a hard fought draw against a tasty looking (But smelly) Something is Rotting.

The match starts badly with Spite requiring the apothecary on the first turn thanks to a two dice block gone bad. The Fury then quickly lose the ST4 blitzer to a KO and the Nurglites advance on the cowering Fury. With things looking bad the Fury fling the ball up the field to Anger who went deep but the covering blitzer failed to make things safe. Fortunately Anger survived the attentions of a tackle beastman to allow the Fury to take the lead.

Rotting replied by rolling up the pitch in typical caging fashion with targeted fouling reducing the Fury numbers aided by a typically blind ref. With no RR the Fury could make nothing of their few opportunities to attack the ball carrier and Monstrous Apparition brought the game square on half time.

Kicking and with their ST4 blitzer now MNG the Fury faced an 8 turn roll up the pitch for Rotting to take their promotion place away from them. The Rotters started in this manner with the teams swapping casualties but before things turned really nasty the Rotters DP was finally sent from the field. With fewer players on the field and the Nuglites luck starting to even out (Was 70%+ until mid 2nd half) the Fury were afforded more attempts at the ball carrier. When the Rotting tried to break on turn 7 the Fury managed a one dice blitz which with a both down took both players out (KO and Stun). With just one turn remaining the Nurglites were left with a passing play as their only option. This failed and the game ended in a fortunate draw for the Fury. Promotion was theirs.

This team has seen its share of elves, for sure
And might have thought that there was naught to fear
But these furies are cut from diff'rent cloth
And quarter did they neither ask nor give
Trading each block for block and kick for kick
'Til at the end, a tie was only fair
