Before the kickoff, Slaughterhouse's coach thought he smelled blood in the water. His own blood. Prissy Kilgore, seeing the sheer size of the opposing mummy, once again noticed his niggling injury was acting up, and began rubbing his knee in pain. Shaking his head, the Head Coach sent the team's apothecary over to inform the hulking mass that it was his shoulder that was supposedly the old injury, so stop faking and get on the pitch. "Govta remmemer vat..." grumbled Kilgore as he lumbered toward the LOS.

Kilgore's memory excercises seemed to help, as he failed zero Really Stupid rolls all match! The real gamebreakers came early, with hideous luck on the dice losing the Dead's two mummies to the KO box - where the +ST +ST brute merrily slept the entire match away.

With this early edge, Slaughterhouse dominated the first half easily, stealing the ball away after more bad dice luck, and pounding the dead as hard as they could, with Little Suizure earning his keep taking out the undead's 'roided up zombie in an brutal opportunistic foul as the ball distracted the rest of the wights and zombies center field. Suiezure was booted, but his boot did its duty and further whittled away the opposition's hitting power. Kiljoy carried the ball across the line to score in the dying moments of the half and lead halftime, 1-0.

Second half showed a rare 'deep-defence' by the undead, allowing Slaughterhouse the rare opportunity to bauble three passes trying to help their rookie gain some badly needed experience. Finally, the cage began to move slowly up the pitch, and the undead moved to encircle and engage.

The battle was realtively brief, with the undead already having a notable manpower disadvantage, which slaughterhouse pressed to the best of their ability. Junior proved an adept dodger for a mummy, with Break tackle no doubt in his near future, but to little effect so late in the game. With Don't min us, we're dead down to few players on the pitch, SlaughterHouse attempted a pass-play to score, but failed at the last moment, to cement final score at 1-0.

So, with dice domination all game, SlaughterHouse managed to win decisively a match that had promised to be quite a spectacle. While not quite the smashfest we had hoped, SlaughterHouse's head coach commented that he'd take a clean win at this point with no arguments.
