#9 Luca Unolargo – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#9 Luca Unolargo – Smashed Knee (NI)
Indeed indeed! It looked like another ignominious defeat for the Hippos today. The ogres themselves were displaying remarkable teamwork in the front-line, despite having to hold off an enormous mummy-giant on the line, but it was the good for nothing gobbos who were yet to get their act together.

Bumbling around in the backfield is usually perfectly acceptable against Khemri, but today the bones were a-movin' and before they knew it, the Hippos had received twice and conceded twice.

The second half was a revelation though, and despite the pacey goal-threat Luca being sidelined early on, they managed to pull the game back to 2-2 and could almost have won it at the death (arf arf!...dead..y'see?)

While his team-mates battled it out on the line, Old Bricks sent a steady stream of cheeky goblins into the Possie's backfield to harry the skeletons. With the buff-as-anything Percy Titch throwing his weight around, the miraculous comeback was completed in sneaky and mocking fashion. Percy almost scored a third late on, but was grimly stamped into a little green puddle by the waiting guards.

Twice they had kicked, twice they had scored. Mad props must go to Pedro 'Raining Balls' Smalls, whose deep kicks were the Khemrians' undoing.

What a match!

A cracking game between two teams not noted for ball handling skills. The Khemri raced into an earliy 2-0 lead, both times by exploiting the oposition failing to secure their backfield when receiving.

The goblins though proved very effectives in the second half and a couple of TTM manovres gained them a suprise down field where they exploited the Khemri lack of Agility and pace.

Great fun!! Only spoiled by the fact that 2 of the three skill advances from this game saw Aging rolls. This team is cursed by them as that is now 3 in 4 rolls, and two of those were on great Mummys. (All on second skill or less)
