“Heh. That was pretty funny. My foray into bash-dom was quick, but the brightest flame burns briefest.

To summarize for the reader who is unaware of the situation, this game was my first and only match in the <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=group&op=view&group=500">Waaagh Challenge</a>. The point of which had nothing to do with wins or losses or scores. Just Casualties. To add to the fun, each team had to have a warboss, who was on the pitch at all times. Read BunnyPuncher's wonderful fluff in the tourney thread.

I was doing quite well once I freed myself from the distraction of playing the ball. I was actually thumping the Blood Eagles. Hard. 3 CAS to 1 BH as halftime was approaching. I lied, cheated, stole, fouled, etc... and it was kind of fun. Apparently it was a little too much fun.

In the 8th turn of the first half (first drive, no score, naturally), I put his attacking force down (his boss and a guard were safely hiding on the other side of the pitch) completely. I had one last chance to get a nasty foul on a blitzer (ended up BH'ing him, btw).

Sadly, I didn't check which player I was fouling with. I guess I got carried away a bit.

The second half started and I set up to receive. Only, as I was setting up, I was looking for my warboss. I needed to keep him safe or I was out of the tourney. No warboss to be found.

He was sitting in the dugout... having been kicked from the game for that foul I committed on turn 8 with the only player on my team that I had to keep on the pitch.

After I cursed some and laughed at my own stupidity. I went on through the kick-off so I could concede, having just killed off my team.

The kicker? On the kickoff roll, I got the ref. I would have had an 8 turn reign of terror.
