In the second I was pleased with our stout wing play, and in particular that we continued to make the score, even after the move had apparently been broken down by strong Jaawi defending. The first round was good for my Sippers. We bashed our way through the middle trying to keep the cage together. The Legends were though giving us a really hard time but with some crazy ball scattering and good luck in the final catch roll, I managed to make the touchdown on round 8!
On the second half I underestimated the speed of the dwarves and left a hole in my defence on one sidezone. At the same time I tried to flank from the other side at LoS, wich was of course not the best way to stop him. I think our TD left us a little buffed-up and we had to pay the price. An unfortunate pushback moved a dwarf together with his TACKLE-zone in the wrong square for me and my blitzer would have had to dodge to blitz the ball carrier. I chose to blitz the tackling player instead so I could at least move him next to the ball carrier.
The Legends bashed hard and tried to move the ball safe but dropped it. The td was delayed at least for a couple rounds. The Sippers could not get close enough to the ball with having only 9 players against this hard bashing dwarf team. An unnecessary block gave my orcs a pow/skull before I had moved my blitzer and lineorc to stop the hairy ball carrier. Another skull on my next turn was all the dwarves now needed to score. Actually stopping them now would have been possible only if a miracle would had happened! :)
Lineorc Koski's ankle was smashed (he claimed it was the booze) and the Sippers had only 7 men on the pitch as the Legends delayed the td one more turn to prevent us from bashing them after the kick-off.
After the match the whole team went for a debriefing and unfortunately they drank all our moonshine that was ment for the next game. As you will see, it had some serious effects on us meeting gronans Corpses! ;)
