01/07 Antipodal Regional Shield - round 2
----------------------------------------------------------
After bamf and his geckos were too afraid to face the Gitz (haha, sorry bamf...had to go there ;)) they advanced to the second round unchallenged. To their pleasure they saw that they would meet amazons, and the Gitz being firmly stacked with tacklers had somewhat of an amazon killing reputation.

Organization problems forced the teams to meet outside of the tournament, and things looked very grim for the amazons. The Gitz would give them something to W(h)ine about....they thought. Instead they had to endure a really horror of a dice rape that started in turn 1 kept tormenting da boyz all the way into the last quarter of the match. EVERYTHING went wrong, and yet again I found myself being far less gracious in (what I thought would be) defeat than I strive to be.

The difference between the teams was so big though that the Women that Wine had a hard time dominating even with Nuffle on their side. Despite keeping the greenskins floored during most of first half and stealing the ball for a TD, they started second half badly outnumbered. After some horrible dice rolls the Gitz finally managed to tie up their opponents and could flesh cage themselves towards the end zone.

As this was played as a regular match there were no room for OT, so G-Force graciously gave me the victory since he was set up for being mangled by superior numbers anyway.

Thanks for the match, G-Force. It caused me endless amounts of frustration, but you helped keep me from pure rage :) See you in future tournaments!
