Both teams needed a result here and a typical Orcs vs. Dwarves bash fest ensued.

The Monarchs received the ball but the dwarves blitzed immediately to put the orcs on the back foot.
The orcs struggled to get the ball out of their own half and a desperation play fell short to kill off a disappointing first half.

In the second half the dwarves pushed forward but the orcs made a fair job of holding them up.
With the dwarf ball carrier surrounded by orcs we looked destined for 0-0.

Pumping Iron was perhaps a bit fortunate to bash and dodge his way out of the orcs clutches but put on a fine burst of speed to get clear of the orc defence.

It looked like a certain TD for the dwarves and the goblins were already warming up to attempt the last turn equaliser.

That's when Nuffle and Witkowski got in on the act.

Witkowski shoved his marker out of bounds and made a desperate sprint to lay a tackle zone on the ball carrier.
Then Nuffle struck. Needing only to dodge away for the TD, Pumping Iron went down stunned in Witkowski's grasp.

As defenders rushed back to defend the ball and secure the draw Witkowski scooped up the ball.
Seeing Dodge peel away from his marker up field Witkowski launched a huge long bomb into the dwarf half.

Ho-lee cow! He caught it, he caught it.

With only one dwarf able to get back it was always going to be hard to bring down the blodger.
A dodge away, two GFIs and Dodge is in the end zone.

Unbelievable. The Stunts deserved more but Nuffle wasn't going to give it to them.

The Stunts were psyched going into this must win match and "Eraser" showed these Orcs how the game was going to be played by seriously injuring the Troll early in the Orcs drive. The slow grind continued, but the Stunts managed to delay the Orcs for long enough and the half time score was 0-0.

The 2nd half saw the stunts try the same tactics and the slow grind began. Everything thing went exactly as planned and with only enough for a few more turns "Pumping Iron" made for the endzone. Sadly he didn't see the banana skin that these cheating Orcs threw in his path and fell just shy of the endzone.

Suddenly these Orcs showed their determination to win this match and threw the ball to the other end of the field and scored with the clock showing 0 seconds left.

With the promotion race now looking like a distant memory the stunts will be trying to put this unlucky result behind them and finish with a strong run, ready for next season.
