“In the opening game of the FUMBBL World Cup V two stunty teams battled it out bravely for the 3 points at stake.

This was a must win game for both sides today, as with the Khemri expected to take the top spot, it was very much a case of which Stunty team can out play the other two and take second.

By winning today the Fanciful Flying Fairies made a major step forward and need only to beat the Halflings to qualify.

The game saw the Slaves receive in the first half and attempt to work down one flank of the Fairies. The Fairies drove into them and raced upfield too, to put pressure on the Slaves. Early Slave casualties /KO's were suffered.

As the half progressed the Slaves managed to score 3/4 of the way through. From the restart the Fairies just failed to score on a faile catch in the end zone.

Second half saw the Fairies receive and run the ball up the flank whilst pinning down the dwindling Slave numbers with tackle zones. The score was relatively simple. The Slaves recieved again in the 3rd turn and were caught on the break by a failed pick up roll seeing the ball spill into the crowd and thrown ight across the field, where a Fairy was able to collect and run home the winner in the next turn.

A final last gasp attempt by the Slaves saw the Blunderbuss fire but not land on target.
