Through casualties and the ref the boys from Ynys Mon started with 10 players. They won the toss and set up to receive but Manchesters finest read it perfectly and set their defence accordingly. Ricky Hatton played a storming opening drive standing steady to block after block then agains't the odds forcing a turnover which lead to the Elves first try.

Classic Wood elf play led Penllew to the equaliser. On the next drive Ricky Hatton dodged right through the defence and pushed Siriol Tangwyllt into the crowd and Ko'd Cefncoed leaving just 8 Wood elves. They came back bravely and turned the ball over but in vain as the Pro Elves won it back to score, putting Penllew out in the process, giving them the lead before the break.

Starting the second half 7 vs 11 it was going to be a tall order to turn the game around and so it proved. The Woddies going down 3-1.
