As usual I couldn't turn down a challenge from elves. Though these matches normally turn out to be a beat up (and believe or not I am the one taking all the hard hits), this time the dice were on my favor.

I remember cursing you for not throwing those 1's ever, and said that in the 2nd half that is going to change. And as nuffle soon filled that promise, it was quite easy (if you can put it that way when counting on your flying goblins to score those td's). Anyways, your dodges and gfi's soon started to give those turnovers I needed and after a long wait those throws really did the thing. All long bombs were sixes and with your few remaining players you just couldn't hussle enough around the ogres (or landing goblins for that matter) it was easy to finish the job.

Great match anyways, a bit surprised I managed to win but truly this match brought me great pleasure and self-confidence to try those TTM's even more. See you again whenever your team is up for it, be sure you want a payback :)

On a perfectly ordinary day, the happy Wood Elves went to play a little game of blood bowl against some nasty looking ogres called Weeta Mash Things. The elves were used to guys looking tough though, so they weren't too scared but just planned to run away from the opponenents whenever they could, preferably taking the ball with them.
In the first half this plan worked out just fine; they scored 2 touchdowns, ran in circles around the stupid ogres, and avoided the goblins unless to beat them up a bit. Wardancer Summer Easycut got a little to bold from the start, and was soon tackled and then kicked from all sides by angry goblins who felt threatened by his famous mighty blow. After a few kicks he couldn't take anymore, but asked, with broken teeth and a bloody face, to get off the field.
Thus handicapped, the elves prepared to be more creative in second half, as Summer usually worked as captain for the team. The last few rounds of first half were used to defend against the rageing ogre hordes, but unfortunately they showed very efficient blocking as well as throwing tecniques, and the Wood Elves could not prevent the scoring of a single touchdown. In pure rage over the torture of Summer, rookie thrower Lumnos Alpastis kicked a prone ogre in the very last turn of first half, seriously injuring him, to great joy for the rest of the team.
Second half started miserably for the poor elves though. After only 3 turns, 3 players had been seriously injured, including the other wardancer, Enzas Charsia with no help to get from the apo. Now the elves were down to 4 players, and the ogres seemed to be getting more and more aggresive and better and better at throwing goblins all over the place. 3 touchdowns were scored in a row, with a little help from a blitz and too many 1's, before the elves had a chance to answer back. Stopping the goblins became pretty hard with no tackle left on the team, and when Lumnos fell as the 5th player with a serious injury, there was nothing left to do but to keep the game going, trying to stay alive. The match ended 4-3, after another great gobbo-throw, and the elves couldn't but admire the excellent tecniques the ogres had developed for grabbing the ball, handing it to a gobbo-flyer and then long-bomb him to a few squares from the endzone. Even the injured players craned to the windows of the infirmary to see what kind of agility madness was going on on the pitch, where now only 3 bewildered wood elves were running around between the beasts.
A great match but a hard one to take for Wood Elves who will now have to spend many many matches to rebuild to former glory. If it can be done.

Good luck with your team, JohnGary, they truly have potential to challenge the best elven teams in the art of throwing and the worst chaos teams in the art of kicking butt.
See you for a rematch in 5 years.
