:-)

What can I say - this was one of these matches where pretty much everything seemed to go my way. Sure, not every single dice roll was in my favor, but for sure, Nuffle definitely had his money on my team.

All in all, I must say that Mr Johnny Ryce was a very good sport. Even though the game was hard on him, he kept his spirits high. The game was played in a relaxed and friendly manner, and personally I like the odd chit chat, and humorous remarks at appropriate moments. :-)

Yet another notable comment should go to Mr Johnny Ryce for doing his best to continue the match after loosing connection. FOrtunately we could both finish our match the next day, but to re-iterate, kudos for doing your best to finish the match even though you were behind two TDs. Not everyone would have been so eager to finish such a game.

I had a blast playing our match, too bad it wasn't a more even game, fought over tooth and nail. I'd be glad for a rematch, and I can most definately recommend Mr Johnny Ryce to all you coaches who likes to play relaxed and friendly games where a laugh is what matters.

Cheers!

The Gypsy curse continues!

It all started well, with the injuried Granite taking the field. But the high elves were quick and Talon Frontman was unable to hold back a blitzing ball carrier, so the Finest were quickly up 0-1.

Nightsong responded with the first of three completions, this one to Jonez. Valentine took off deep up field and Jonez took cover behind the new ogre, Battler, who promptly fell over after overextending on an attack. The elves knocked down Jonez and scored a second TD.

The Boys from Dark Water were furious at this point. Brimstone hurt an elf, Stable killed one (who was quickly brought back by the doctor) and Killzone hurt one himself. He was swarmed and fouled out by dirty player on the high elf team. Jonez went deep up field with the ball, but was taken out with a fleet footed blitzer. Valentine tripped up trying to dodge to support a blitz to free the ball. The Gypsies managed to get the ball back and Nightsong rocketed one to Valentine who ONCE AGAIN fell down trying to push into the endzone. This one was even annouced before hand. (Announcer: "Well there goes Valentine with the ball. He always falls down at this point... yep... there he goes. Classic Dick Valentine there.") And to finish up the hat trick of falls, Drawbridge (who would ironically get MVP) fell trying to push in for a blitz to free the ball for a potential TD. The high elves got the ball and quickly scored a third TD.

Sigh. No skills were gained, but no fans were lost.

Good game Kurtz. Rematch sometime!
