“A tough game with early blocks from Black Metal seriously injuring and badly hurting Surge players, giving Black Metal atleast a two player advantage all match. The superior numbers took there toll with the BM Bands coming out of the touch line melee with the ball and running it in for a TD. The Surge offence replied quickly levelling the score. Before the half was out Morpheus was able to blitz down field recover the ball and give the Surge a half time lead.
The Surge offence misfired when Helegorn failed a 2+ dodge roll twice to score. Aeacus was able to survive the following blitz, collect the ball in two tackle zones and take the Surge 3-1 up. With only five Surge players on the pitch Black Metal Bands quickly scored. A perfect defence halted the strong Surge offence and Faelion was unable to complete a long bomb in the final turn to the waiting Mirion - who had regained consciousness to play in the last drive of the game.”
