“A thunderous meeting between two tough teams. The game started with the Goats receiving the kickoff and admiring the ball sailing through the air a tad too much. While their attention was diverted skyward, the Scales launched off the line, putting a trio of players near the ball and scooping it up. Undaunted, the Goats blitzed with exact precision and the ball was flung to a charging Goatherd of Shothoth, already steaming towards the backfield of the luckless lizards.

The lizard response was swift and sure, getting ready to break a blistering tackle on the Goatherd, until the Shepherd of Shub-Niggurath stuck a gauntleted fist into the craw of Ma-Xilatoc and went down in a heap with the Kroxigor. Cackling madly with glee, the Goatherd plunged across the line. Perhaps his suggestive end-zone dance was poorly chosen however, as enraged Scales fans swarmed onto the pitch and carried off the ref as the teams rest for a kick in the other direction. The Lizardmen coach spoke quietly to the teams 'surgical specialist' Humbar, making vigorous kicking and elbow-drop motions while pointing at the celebrating Goats. The little skink got the message, and went to work on the burly chaos with pitiless abandon.

The lizardmen's ball management however left something to be desired. A flubbed handoff in the backfield stranded two skinks away from support with the ball on the pitch and the Goats quickly lept upfield to pressure them. Midway through the drive, the ball carrier carelessly bunched up near the Sheep Reaper, who bellowed for support and crashed through the line to bind the hapless skink in his tentacled grasp. The skink was soon on his back, and in all the excitement, the Cthonic Cattledriver laid hands to the ball. He ignored the bleated screams of pain from the beastmen as they were 'treated' by Humbar and lumbered home for a 2 touchdown lead at the half.

The second half looked sure to yield results for the Scales, but the fervent sheep sacrifices made to Nuffle and Khorne by the Chaos brought the ill-wind of bad luck to the cold-blooded warriors. A good push down the flank was spoiled when Humbar, distracted by the chaos warrior groggily coming to his senses at his feet, bobbled a scoring pass backwards. The ball was recovered by Hirank and brought to within meters of the goal-line, but Xilanpoc, frenzied by bloodlust, took a swift uppercut to the chin from HorrorGoat and stalled the momentum. RageGoat brought down the ballcarrier and scooped up the ball, fended off a pathetic counter-blitz by the recently up-ended skink and rushed forward to chain a pass play that ended with MetalGoat stalling on the goal-line unmarked until the end of the match, where he trotted across the line for the final score.”
