One Guardian missed his niggle roll(s) and did not play, leaving the Guardians with 14 for the match (though the Wardancers could not be fielded together) and the Golden Oblivion hired a Wizard.

Brief summary, the Oblivion had some unlucky early blocks, just getting pushes. The Guardians fouled first, causing a BH on the Dragon Warrior with Mighty Blow Tackle and my opponent apothed him.
A few turns later, the Guardians apothed a MNG on a Dauntless Strip Ball Catcher (to keep numbers up and threaten the steal).
Eventually, the Guardians did steal the ball and ran it deep to score at the end of the drive.
Second half the teams continued to exchange fouls whilst the Guardians kept the ball shielded from a lightning bolt strike.
With no apoth on either team, the Oblivion took a niggle from the Mighty Blow Wardancer Caldoris Thundercall and another from a DP foul with 2 assists. The Guardians took a niggle on a straight pow and a RIP on a DP foul with a negative assist!
Seeing that my opponent was very quiet during the match and playing aggressive, I decided not to try to score a second TD as I did not want to line up 3 players on the LOS to be hit and then fouled.
Instead the Guardians protected the ball and kept attacking the opposing players to minimise the damage they could do back and the game ended in an 8 turn stall for no score.

Well I certainly could have played that better. A couple of errors on my part, such as blocking off paths for my players twice so that I was short MA. Short one MA to leap with the ball away from his DT player so instead I went for the pass and luckily no 6 intercept. Another time, I blocked off a path that would allow a better pushback square (for fouling) but I didn't get the knockdowns anyway.
I also messed up my T16. Wanted to pass with the 30 SPP lino but moved him by accident. Whoops!
Anyway, it was a costly game for both of us, and the final is looking like an easy win for my next opponent. More blood to wash out of the pink tutus as well :) ”
