“2nd Round of the XFL II Khemri

Three handicaps came my way - Bribe the Ref, Bad Press and Extra Training... could really had used Morely's or Greatest... but hey.

Tactically the advantage I had was that my mummies all had block and Melissa's didn't.

1st half I kicked, and Melissa attacked, but I defended solidly, but a rerolled gfi stopped by getting a tackle zone on the ball carrier before a blitz... so 0-1 down in turn 5/6.

Then a perfect defence was rolled, but despite this, another double one gfi prevented me from handing the ball off and scoring in turn8... of course I'm sure the hand off would have failed too! ;-p

2nd half started with 3 blocks that quickly reduced the numbers in my favour on the pitch... although all my players were on the pitch and I had no reserves, wherea Melissa had 2 waiting to come on and a few KO'd and still managed to start with 11.

After a good attack my call carrier made it up the field, and I thought that my one chance would be to try and reduce the opposition numbers further to give me a fighting chance in Extra Time. Unfortunately this wasn't to be... Melissa dice were too good and my armour broke at will. I crossed the line... but did manage to defend for extra time... unfortuantely my KO's stayed out, and I started with 8 players...

Extra time started with me receiving... I had a brief glimmer of hope... but my ag3 was out. The ball fell near the sidelines, and I couldn't pick it up... and then I was quickly surrounded and pummelled... it was lost.

Good tough game with a high number of casualties. A bit of luck more my way may have made it even closer, but I think the favorite won.
