“The XFL II final for lizardmen looked like it should be a cracking game. Last year's champions taking the field to defend their title. A great contest between the superior sauri of My first and my last and the better skinks from the challengers.
Alas, it was not to be. The first half was one of the most onesided affairs I have ever played in or watched. Booahl rerolled a push on a non-essential block into a double skulls in turn 1 and it was all downhill after that.
My dp fouled nearly every turn and never got spotted, and my rookie sauri hit his for ko's that failed to return for a long time.
After the game was already decided the luck turned and gave Booahl some late casualties and some very small chances to get back into the game.
It proved too little too late.
All in all a game that didn't really deserve the label of tournament final, and a disspointing one for the specs.
A tourney win is however a tourney win, so I'll take it any way I can get it!
