Well, the Gypsies were down three key players: two guarding linemen and the lead thrower, Nightsong! All were recovering from injuries sustained in their last game. Looks like the Gypsies needed a recovery match... against Todfatha's orcs??!?!

Ryce was never really clear about what recovery match should be, but you take what you can get. Ryce decided to hire a new lineman to flesh out the front line a little (after he and Todfatha debated hiring a bunch of start players to assure mutual destruction). So Frankie Cannon got the unexpected privilege of joining the already robust Dark Water roster. He was going to take his licks, but he took it like a man.

The Gypsies really had the better rolls, despite the reported luck roles. Todfatha had Ryce-like luck on most of the important roles. Max Lightman, much to the orcs' anger, picked up a touchdown, and interception and a completion. He's shown he is willing to stand up to any opponent, no matter how big. That'll probably get him into trouble.

Luther Jonez picked up another TD himself, scoring early in the game, then getting knocked out. The rookie Cannon was knocked out also, and Jonez showed him the ropes of staying OUT of a game, to avoid any more bruises.

Jack Battler hurt the saucy black orc, Knuckles Magoo and has finally started blossoming into a support role, hearted by the MVP he picked up last game. Brimstrone beatdown another casuality and Dark Water wonders what they would do without his consistent leadership. And finally, Killzone has been working on putting more hurt behind his massive punches. All of this gave the fans something to like again.

Thanks for the game, Todfatha! I enjoyed the orc's gentle pushes all game :)
