“Stable Round 3 - Blighty vs Scum
Orc vs Orc... Russo had a Wizard and much better FF and an extra Reroll... but both teams equal on Guards and Mighty Blows, but I was already a BOB down.
It was a tough game, and luck had everything to do with the result... I was lucky to expose the defence in the 1st half and score... but Russo was unlucky not to equalise on a failed gfi on turn 8...(although I had failed to roll some vital dice previously!).
Then in the 2nd half we both had turns that inflicted a lot of damage... but it wasn't enough to stop me scoring and preventing any counter attack.
Close tough game, but a win for my stable... brings overall score to 1-1. Come on Blighty!... (cough...well played Russo, was fun... Cough). :-)”

The game started badly for the Benders as their nasty Orcish opposition ^^ got a perfect defense and almost the first block they made was a double skulls requiring a reroll to be burnt, the ball was then promptly spilled in the very next action with no reroll available.
The Boyz exploited the exposed ball situation and got their excellent blitzers up to threaten the Benders most likely to retrieve the ball. From then on in the drive was a case of Benders desperately back-peddling in defence.
1-0 the Boyz
From the restart the Benders drove upfield and in the last seconds almost scored from an exposed position, only for the Thrower to fail the GFI with no rerolls left.
Half Time = 1-0 The Boyz
In the second half the Boyz held the ball deep in their back-field like the rotten southern cowards they are :P waiting for gaps in the Benders defence.
When one came they tried to move down the flank only for the Benders wizard to wake from his slumber and hurridly zap the ball carrier knocking him out and leaving the ball on the pitch. The Benders failed to secure the spilt ball and the Boyz scored a break-away TD to seal the win.
