The North Tribe Nigglaz faced one of the longest running teams in Blood Bowl history, the Sleepers in Metropolis. It was a really entertaining match, one of those gems where neither side had superior luck and where the match focused a lot on tactics and scoring instead of gangfouling and stalling.

The Nigglaz had a bad start of the match, with both of my niggled players refusing to play and a black orc blocker ending up in the BH box in the first round, but the team was focused and managed to run in a TD before the half was over, as well as dispose of one of the scary warewolves.

In the 2nd half it was the Sleepers that had the momentum and they soon managed to isolate the bob's and run in a TD after a minor skirmish on my end zone line. The scorer was the impressive zombie, Tribal, that snatched up the ball after Yagah blitzed the ghoul ball carrier.

The TD left the Nigglaz a chance to score and instead of favoring a gob throw they waited for an opening. Slug got through in the final seconds of the match and Yuk ran forward to throw the ball. It was a 3+ throw, but sadly it failed despite the reroll. A tie felt pretty fair though since both teams had fought hard and had a good time.

Thanks for the match, Kenty! It's an impressive team you got, I hope you can keep it alive until match 1000 :)

As for the Nigglaz the project of rebuilding continues. The nigglers will be fired, but the 2 -AV age rolls on Dub and Slug doesn't help my struggle. Dub's was kind of expected since he is now a Super-Star, but to fail the veteran age roll on Slug at the same time stung a bit.

This marks the last match of Lurk da Sneaky. The star player was an inspiring force on the pitch during his 34 matches for the Nigglaz, but since his age niggle he has started missing out on a lot of matches and that's just not acceptable from a key player.
Following him away from the team is Jub da Poet. His niggling injury is also the reason for his retirement and the team will do their best to find a new kicker. Jub's brutal but beautiful chants and poems will be missed by his teammates.
