This was the best match I have had for a long time, and it was not just because I finally broke my extremly extensive bad luck streak and finally managed to win a match, but because it was well played, exciting and in company of a very friendly opponent.

Rarely have I seen a match sway back and forth like this one. The Gangstas, still exhausted from their tough OT loss in the Antipodal Regional Shield (got Morley's Revenge on 3 players) had a bad start, but still managed to score. Despite heavy bashing, especially by the always so outstanding Shanks, the match was kept even due to Gothenburg players being too tired to play. Prasomchai was extremly cold and calculating when he let a AG 4 player be niggled and a lineman RIP'ed without using the apo, but it turned out as a brilliant move that would save the career of the ST 4 catcher Sunny.

The Cowgirlz tied the match up, but the ref set the clock back for injury time which allowed the Gangstas to score a lucky turn 8 TD.

In the 2nd half the Gangstas started in defense and now the advantage switched back and forth pretty much every turn. An excellent blitz oppurtunity on the Cowgirl ball carrier was lost because of a failed GFI, which in turn looked like a given TD when the ball carrier and a safeguard broke free and ran for the end zone line. Humans rushed up and managed to arrange a sneaky crowd push though, which sent the ball off the court. The crowd threw it in behind the LOS battle and suddenly the Gangstas had an excellent chance to snatch up the ball and try to run in another TD. Another failed GFI gave the Cowgirlz the chance again and they picked it up and succeeded with their throw over the LOS line and tied the match up once again.

With 3 turns left the Gangstas made a good run for the end zone line, but a stun on the only remaining catcher, followed by an extremly stupid blitz ruined my chances to score a 3rd one...or so I thought. With 1 turn left I had a reroll in reserve, but the only way to score was to make 2 4+ dodges, 2 succesful GFI's and then a throw over half the pitch to a lineman without catch or any other helpful skills. I don't make TD's like that...I'm supposed to be the constantly unlucky one. But in this match Nuffle must have taken a nap, because the Gangstas completed their amazing last turn TD and won the match!

A tie would perhaps have been more fair, but Prasomchai was a great sport and instead just talked about what a great match it had been. It was a long time since I had this much fun playing Blood Bowl. Thanks a bunch for the match, Pras. I hope we get the chance for a rematch some day :)

#3 Sarah – Smashed Knee (NI)
#6 Sue-Ellen – Dead (RIP)
A super game, with my opponent beating me to the report and saving me a lot of effort!

It was an extremely good game, and I think he deserved his win due to the exceptional efforts of his players. Twice we thought we had a perfect defense, and twice some amazing offense showed otherwise!

I'm just pleased to have survived this one, with those Mighty Blow Tacklers running amok and hurting my girls.

Losing Sue-Ellen hurt, but she was a newbie with no skills and so we had to let her go. In the end, that saved Sunny's career, and so proved the right decision.

The Cowgirlz' long road to the AFL continues!

Well played dude, I too look forward to clashing horns again!
