“I wasn't looking forward to this game vs the much bigger and nastier Orcs, but the Basher's had been weakened somewhat thanks to their last tough game and "It wasn't me!".

I took the first drive and get the ref came up! I kept my head and managed to work the ball forward while doing some tactical fouls to try and remove the more dangerous players. Billy Rea got BH'd which helped us no end, although Faib counter attacked and nearly grabbed the ball. Luckily, we got the ball again and crossed the line with a few turns to spare. 1-0 first half.

2nd half and Faib went into bashing mode, KO'ing and BH'ing quite a few players. He responded to my earlier fouls with a few of his own - kudos to Snorri for being right about fouling! Still, we held on, but it was a tough ask. We managed to get two Elves on the ball carrier Turn 8, but Faib got the dodge and equalised. 1-1 final score.

The Picnic are pretty happy with this result. We wanted to skill up our Blitzers but skilled up two line elves instead which is fine. 70k and no FF loss puts us in a great position going into next season.
