#3 Left Ender – Smashed Knee (NI)
“This was a classic Orc and Dwarf battle :)
Not only did the Defenders successfully stopped the Greenskins from scoring in the first half, but the defenders nearly scored themselves!
The second half had some streaks of good and bad luck and the Greenskins managed to just out pace a diving troll slayer for a score.
The second TD was on turn 8 after the Defenders had blown any chance of scoring...
Overall a got well played game.
Looking forward to a rematch :-)”

The second half proved to be even tougher than the first with a steady and deadly stream of little dwarfs pulling up the sideline. The ballcarrier was stopped just before he could score and then the ST 4 Orc blitzer picked it up and made som insane dodges up the pitch. Then he got knocked down again, only to come up with some new nifty ball-handling and running skills. This made for a first TD.
Then the dwarfs had only 2 turns to score (which as we all now is not very long in dwarf-metric) and by betting all on one card and some unlucky rolls (all the RR's where out) the orcs were given another chance to score and they did.
A tough battle which I didn't think would come out my way after some bad coaching. from my side in the first half. Few injuries and few permanent ones. The only one came from a little dwarf trying to knock over my ogre, getting a bad beating himself... so it was somewhat self-inflicted.
Ug is a good sport and a good coach. He did not whine a bit when I had to reboot due to computer problems. Would play him anytime again. (Guess the Defenders need a recovery game though).
