The Skoundrelz streak of fortune came to an end in the final, when they faced Miss Hunter's. They got off to a bad start with the opponents getting a blitz on the first kickoff, which made it very hard for the gobbos to form a proper offensive.

The Skoundrelz excelled at maiming their opponents in the later stages of the match. Miss Hunter herself got blown to pieces when Kub dropped a dynamite in her lap, Vroom Vroom cut the dirty playing Fusion in half and Niggla showed big team spirit when he bit Nusy to death after having suffered a smashed knee from him.

But besides the injuries the goblins didn't have the needed luck with them. Gyro failed a GFI that would have lead to a TD, stunning himself on the end zone line. Brik, who was an outstanding scorer in the previous matches, broke his jaw and the apothecary failed to get him back in the game. And in the final shivering seconds of the match Santa missed a 3+ dodge to give him a chance to tie the match with the help of a GFI.

The Skoundrelz, not known for their fair play or gracious manners refused to accept defeat. The team captain Nasty explained after the match that they had really won the final: "Dem bloodsuckaz won' be playin' noze mo' so da Skoundrelz win anywayz. Can' 'ave no killed offed teamz 'oggin da trophy!"”
