In honour of Coach Russo's 647th game on FUMBBL he lined up one of the very best coaches to play a testamonial game.
PeteW with his 10-0-0 Khemri Marvel Supervillains (teams were chosen by the independant WIL coach and confused Bristolian Stammer merchant, spubbbba) was the man with the mission of entertaining Russo for the next hour of his life ^^
The canny and bloodthirsty BRISTOLIAN also chose the Human team Singing Minstrels of Meyhem for Russo to use.
The result was a cracking game with everything you could wish for in a Blood Bowl game. 13 casualties and 4 TD's between the two teams, 16 fouls (thx to both teams Getting the Ref) and a wizard. If anyoe ever wants to watch a replay worth its name, then this is the one to watch :D
The Minstrels received and attacked down the flank, and almost bodged the score by stalling a turn longer than sensible...but hey who said either coach was sensible..nay even right in the head :wink:
1 - 0 Russo
From the restart the Minstrels got a Blitz and managed to get a TZ on teh Khemri thrower and another couple of players into the backfield of their slow undead opposition. The Khemri knew it was hopeless and made a token effort to stop the score, instaed they started the bashing that one expects them to dish out :D
The Humans promptly scored a second 2 - 0 Russo.
In the second half the Khemri anger was almost unstoppable with a huge torrent of casualties streaming into the dugout. Eventually the Khemri realised that they needed to score and they did so :P
2 - 1 Russo.
In the end the pityful band of Minstrels surviving managed to outfox the slow Khemri again and thanks to a lucky 1D block at the death scored a thrid and decisive TD. 3 - 1 Russo.
Somewhere along the way the Humans also used a wizard to break a Khemri cage, but in his excitement Coach Russo forgot exactly when, and almost wet himself staying glued to the action :D
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my gentlemanly and most fun opponent opponant for awarding me the honour of marking his achievement with this game, and also for letting me get on behalf of my 6 year old daughter :P
