“Lustrian Challenge Qualifier, Round 1

After weeping over woodstock and his monster orcs as my first draw I knew my team was not ready for the big tournaments. When ‚Not Yet‘ gave in to his niggling injuries and the handicaps were ‚palmed coin‘ and ‚buzzing‘ (against 3 st 5 players and guards a-plenty) the tears came again.

But somehow, Woodstock and I managed a draw. First half, turn 3, Ripper knocked himself out on a block. Then some hard hits left me 7 vs 11 players in turn 5. Woodstock risked a little too much, especially failing two gfi. Otherwise I would have been done in. Second half was nice but unspectacular. Turn 1 of overtime started out great, knocking out the fearful st5 block/guard/mb bob and Woodstock’s Troll. Woodstock and reality had me back soon enough when ripper was lost to a cool and decisive foul. After that I was plain lucky not to lose.

Thanks for the game, Wooddstock. I only saw some of your mistakes ;-). Be nuffle with you. Kill ‘em all and win.
