“Before the match I jokingly predicted a 3-0 victory and lots of dead dorfs.
After 2 weak performances and no still no block I was expecting a thrashing, however my boys had obviously been saving themselves for this game, every block was a Pow or defender stumbles and I don’t think I used a re-roll all half. PeteW’s dorfs on the other hand could only push, and even my fouls caused KO’s to his stuns.
My brand new clawed beastman Alexander Graham Bell played a blinder, causing 3 casualties as well as some KO’s and I was able to comfortably stall to score on turn 8. I had suffered a couple of injuries too and the sides were pretty much even going into the 2nd half and a draw was still easily achievable, with a win not being impossible either.
I think the nuffling he’d been getting on the 1st half got to Pete, blitzing with the minotaur and fouling with the ball carrier seemed needlessly risky to me. This proved true when the mino rolled skull both down when blitzing my Beast of Nurgle which opened up an easy 2D on the ball carrier. After a bit of a scramble I managed to grab the ball and score on turn 6 to secure the victory.
So with just pride and revenge to play for the Chaos Dwarfs went on the offensive, a freak kick off gave the mino the ball and it went for glory, but my beast took it down.
So the Resident Evil conference is thrown wide open, looks like Purp’s Zons and fluffy’s rats are the teams to beat and foul now.
The only down side to this game was my failing to foul the Cows, in the 1st half my Beast double skulled and in the 2nd the centaur got itself sent off and my beast went stupid before it could foul the mino. ”
