“A tough and hard fought battle, the Black Fire Pass Blitzers open up their 3rd season (NWL Season 7) with a huge victory. The game opened up into a blizzard, and the snow-covered pitch would greatly limit action to a much slower pace, favoring the dwarfs.

Coach Bizz49 started out fast, but luck quickly diminished as werewolf #2 Hairy Legs was taken out on a failed block, his frenzy putting him in a dangerous situation.

Soon there after, the Delirium found themselves down another man and the dwarf stampede just rolled down the field. Blitzer Jak Hammerbert rumbled in the first score giving the Necros 3 turns to try and score.

Coach Bizz49 lost track of time, doing his best to try and block away at the dwarf front line. Some stuns looked promising, but as their other wolf, Johnny Fang ran with the ball, he held back and never got into scoring position. A mental error that cost the team a tie.

In the second half, the Black Fire Pass Blitzers kicked a short kick and were able to quickly swarm the ball on a surprise blitz play. This would cause major havoc for the Delirium, who couldn't out-hit the guarders in the front line.

The necro's hit the ball loose a few times, but just couldn't capitolize on it. On one play late, as the Dodging Dermonti Deathrun broke free to scoop up the loose football, Lord Shatter, the Delirium's star wight/blitzer took him down. Shortly after that, the blitzers recovered as Jak Hammerbert was running off down the sideline, only to be wiped out by a blitzing ghoul. The ball bounced out of bounds and the fans threw it deep into Delirium territory, out of reach of the dwarfs stunty arms.

The wolf Johny Fang was able to get to the ball, but was hit hard by a 2-man blitz from Armond Hammerson and Jak Hammerbert, putting the wolf out of the game. The blitzers than cleared the back of the pitch of any resistance, allowing Jak Hammerbert to score a second time.

A hard fought match, and Bizz49 made the best with what he had. But this game belonged to the Black Fire Pass Blitzers.”
