“If you'd asked me if I thought I'd win this match, pretty much anywhere until the very end of the 2nd half, I would have told you "there's no way I could lose."

Well, I found a way. Or, rather, JumpingJezza managed to pull a win out from somewhere.

In the first half, my st4 blitzer tries to push an undefended ghoul ballcarrier to the edge of the field, where he'll be stuck behind 2 orcs. Result: skull and skull/pow, no rerolls because of Doom and Gloom handicap. Ghoul stays up, and makes an easy run for a last minute TD. 1-1.

In the second half, my orcs have made a breakthrough, and our ballcarrier is virtually in the clear. However, Septic Twitch ghouls manage to corner our ballcarrier, knock the ball free, and and get ahold of the ball. We retaliate, surrounding the ball and the ghouls, and KO one of them. AG 4 ghoul manages to dodge, dodge, pick up, GFI, then throws the ball past several orcs in a massively long pass to a ghoul that was sitting (under guard, but otherwise alone) near my endzone. It succeeds on the RR, and even though the catch is fumbled, I have virtually no players in the area to stop him. Final score 2-1.

A good game, but I can't help feel somewhat cheated out of at least a tie.”
