Game 30

Well, what can be said about this game.... The Ecclesiarchs of Unsanity played a solid game, coming out 2 up on the score. Schola failed to capitilise on the extra power that they had in the game, with 12 KO's inflicted on the resilient Undead, all except 2 coming back in to play. If those KO's had of been CAS, the game could have ended wildly different, however they weren't CAS, and the Undead pulled off a deserved win.

The first half was down the line, with a bit of the backwards and forwards happening, until the undead cleared some dodges and got the ball carrier down and out. Several unsuccessful dodges from Schola to get 2d blitzes on the undead followed, with the Ecclesiachs stepping over the line for a 1-0 score, leaving Schola not enough time to equalize.

The second half can be summarized by the play in Turn 3. Dominus Mortifer IIhad a 2d blitz on the ball carrier to get the equalizer, and all he had to do was dodge clear of Frost Warden. 6 dodges later, the annoyingly light footed Forst Warden, who had been shadowing Dominus Mortifer II, finally tripped him up, leaving another clear run to the endzone. A failed gfi to get within scoring range by Schola in Turn 6, followed by a distance miscalculation by the Ecclesiarchs left the score 2-0 for the game.

Twahnlow Votes
3 - #3 Frost Warden - this wight did it all, finishing it with the spectacular trip of Dominus Mortifer
2 - #9 Silent Blizzard - Frenzied a few people off the pitch, constantly in there hitting it up
1 - #8 Micaiah - his boots were definitely made for kicking, and thats just what they did

#12 Ferrous – Smashed Hip (-MA)
Kazi hid in the crowd waiting for the right moment. That god forsaken Count had turned up again and although the rest of the team couldn't see it, Kazi was sure he was going to frollick off with the premiership flag should he still be there at the end! Coach didn't seem to care, a flag was a flag. He was a cold and utterly ruthless bastard these days. And since no-one else was going to ensure the team would get some self-respect, it was all up to him to do something about it!

He squinted through sleepy eyes at the field, looking for his divine creation on the edge of the strip. He'd been up all night just to make sure she looked...just divine. The plan was to catch the count in a moment of weakness. He had amazing regenerative powers, but whenever he'd been down this season, Kazi had noticed that those amazing powers had mostly come at the expense of some pretty blonde fangirl within reach of the sidelines. So he'd taken Snorriheim's sexiest zombie and worked all night with the girls in town to give her a makeover from hell! Or so he hoped! If the count should go down and then just happen to find her in a moment of weakness, those fangs would find nuthin' but decay.

It wasn't long before the count was in the thick of it...and as usual he was playing up to the crowd again. Schola were quick to seize the moment though and before the second turn had come and gone, had dropped the count and put the boot in. Kazi cheered himself hoarse, even more so when he saw little miss divinity throw herself into the Count's arms...

The rest of the game was a bit of a blur - its too hard for a goblin to focus when he's happy and everything's aright. The Count was a forgotten pile huddled in the shadows, the team had won a brilliant victory off their own backs, Frost Warden had shown himself to be the star he'd been all season and Snorriheim was taking home the flag yet again!

Tough game for Schola. He caught the undead at their best. First season in prem too, is always tough. But they have what it takes and they'll be back 'arder next time around.
