KB: Coach Jadin, great victory tonight! A 1-0 start will sure make a statement with your opposition.
How did you prepare for knowing you were going up against an ogre team?

CJ: Well, honestly I was concerned due to their size compared to my girls. However, I told them to always stick three players on to an Ogre and if you find a goblin alone on the field, spike him and try to get him out of the game. My girls almost pushed an Ogre out in the second half. Made me proud. The Ogres also stood around dumbfound a few times, which really helped.

KB: Do you think you can improve as a team?

CJ: Well, I was a little disappointed in the second half of the game around the mid way point where Ashley had the ball, but she couldn't punch it home for a second score. An ogre managed to get a goblin into my defensive line and clogged the front. The blockers protecting Ashley managed to let a few of the slippery goblins by them. Also, our only score came on a turn over when a desperate Ogre team started chucking the ball around. We lucked out heavily during that play, as an Ogre moved to make a blitz and then fell on his face. I feel that's the difference between victory and defeat tonight.

KB: I noticed in the second half you had 3 girls with the ball and three Ogres baring down on you. Were you afraid they were going to lose the ball?

CJ: Near the end of the game, I realized if we held onto the ball a litle longer, we could have walked out with a win, so I had them stall the offensive and just try to slow the Ogre team down.

KB: How do you plan on preparing for the game next week against the Dwarves?

CJ: I plan on reviewing the play by play to see what I'm up against. Dwarves have a history of being a rough team for the Amazons, and I hope to make it through with most players still ready to go.

KB: How long will you and the girls celebrate this victory over the Ogres?

CJ: We plan to celebrate until the Ogres finish eating the unconscious goblins over there and start lookin for more food. I've got the women rousing the unconscious girls so we can get out of here without being a feast. We really are lucky to get out with the entire team intact.
