A topsy turvey game, with every td going against the receiver.

The lizards received first half. They were slow to pick up the ball, and when the key pass was fumbled, the elves ran away with the ball. However they stopped short of making the extra effort to score straight away, and paid for it by the ball carrier being sent to the casualty bin with a niggling injury. The lizards then tried the running game, but Ferment prevented a key block leading up to the touchdown run, and the lizards lost the ball again. This time the elves ran away with it, and touched down right on the end of half siren.

Feeling confident, the elves came on in the second half without wearing their armour, and the sarui went to work taking them off the pitch. Some solid defense followed from the lizards, and they ran down the ball carrier and scored, taking time to remove a few more elves from the pitch on the way.

Low in numbers, the elves came close to getting the ball clear, but a fumbled pass at a bad time left the ball open for Mi-not, who was then too fast to be caught and ran away for the winning TD, right on the final siren.

A good effort overall from Sotek's monks, with the exception of Kisthamotaru, who once again failed to do anything useful and probably won't be missed next game.

Twanhlows:
It was a mixed effort, with many of the elves who did something good also doing something particularly bad to counteract it.
3 - Shake II, for single handedly taking down a Kroxigor for this game and the next.
2 - Ferment, for knocking down Ugnth against the run of play, which was the key move leading to the Agitate touchdown
1 - Churn, for stealing the ball and passing it to Confuse early in the game, nearly setting up an early Agitate touchdown.

#7 Confuse – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#7 Confuse – Smashed Knee (NI)
Season XXII Game 1

Wasnt the best game for either team. Agitate taking advantage of some bad dice rolls to secure their only touchdown in the match. The temple of Sotek turned it round in the 2nd half though, much to coach eagle009's dismay. Some solid play and coaching left Agitate scrambling and the pressure turned the ball over. Good game Irgy!

Twahnlow Votes

3 pts - #2 Phuazoth-mokr. He came out on fire in the 2nd half and started to sweep elves aside.

2 pts - #3 Caz-augot. Made the TD saving blitz early in the first half. Also a key player all game.

1 pt - #7 Ugnth. Work horse of the game. Even when he wasnt blocking the elves he providing an effective roadblock.
