The game pretty much came down to a couple of rolls at the end of the first:

1) My werewolf made 4d worth of blocks on Wotfudboy's bull centaur: 2 push, 2 skull. Out of RRs, so I go down.

2) His turn, he has to make an AG 2 dodge (fails, RR: makes it) then 3 GFIs (makes, fails, surefeet, makes, makes.)

That got him a point, tying up the game, which allowed him to leisurely stroll in for the win in the second.

Oh, yeah, and the 0 CAS on my side of the board certainly didn't help me any.

Edit: My werewolf has block. The only reason I went down was because I rolled a double skull. If there'd been a skull/pow around, I would've taken it.
52 blocks, 18 of which had claw, reducing your AV to 7 (or 5, for the hobgobs.)
Not arguing with you, but I was pretty unlucky to not get even a single CAS.

Just read Alstar's match report... I did have the better dice at key points of the match.

However, a note of caution... In my experience I would never rely on a blockless frenzy player... with skulls and both downs on the dice there is a good chance of not getting the dice you want... admitedly a reroll would normally help.

As for casualties, i threw 72 blocks against av8 players, and you threw 52 blocks against mainly av9 players.

Ag2 dodging is a 50% chance of succeeding, so always worth a go if desperate, especially with a reroll.

Failing a gfi is only 1 in 6... surefeet allow you to reroll that... Pretty good odds of succeeding.

What's my point... well, we make our own luck... make all the nonrisk moves first, then safer moves second, then riskier moves last. If you expect things to work, they normally don't
