The Shatzu were in trouble at the beginning of the match when on of their few niggled players missed the match and he happened to be one of their best players, whilst the Guardians with more veteran players carrying niggling injuries only had one player miss the game, and that being their over-rated Super-Star Catcher Kaldonis Stormblade who was really a glorified support player.

Shatzu started in offence and scored an easy TD, then watched the Guardians do the same. On Shatzu's next offensive drive however, a fumbled backfield pass allowed the Guardians to rush deep into Shatzu territory where the stole the ball. The Shatzu player who blitzed the Guardians player with the ball tripped as he tried to catch him (failed GFI possibly failed reroll too) and the Guardians scored to take a 2-1 lead.

The next kickoff saw Shatzu advance the ball up their right wing early. The Guardians were able to steal the ball thanks to a leaping Wardancer. Shatzu were able to knock the ball loose but the Guardians were able to recover and score to take a commanding 3-1 lead into half time.

After the half time break, Shatzu set up an intimidating 11 man defence right across the line of scrimmage. A lot of the Shatzu team were skilled in assisting blocks (Guard) so the Guardians played down each wing and set up an easy score to take the lead to 4-1.

On the next Shatzu drive, a missed backfield pass sent the ball way away from any friendly player and the Guardians were able to recover the ball for yet another TD to take the lead to 5-1.

On the next Shatzu drive, an error on one wing allowed the Guardians to rush and attack the loose ball. However, Shatzu were able to recover it and thow a Long Bomb pass despite two rushing pass blockers! However, Shatzu were already so demoralised at this point that the player who caught the ball and was within scoring distance stood around stunned in disbelief at the opportunity! She was still in shock when her face hit the astro granite as she was hit by a Guardian player and the ball bounced free! (My opponent forgot to move his player as he thought she had already moved).

Both sides fought hard for the ball and stole possession momentarily before the Guardians managed to string together a play and score a demoralising 6th TD to take a 6-1 lead.

Shatzu had enough time to attempt a difficult TD but it was not to be.
------------
A very one sided game in the end. My poor opponent had a shocking day with the dice, rolling a lot of snake-eyes at crucial points. He made two nice passes in the game with two Pass Blockers in his face but that did not make up for all the other opportunities I got from his inopportune rolling at critical times.

Understandably, he lost a bit of interest as he said in his match report.

Still I look forward to a rematch. Good luck with your team Phillier until we meet again of course hehe.

#12 Kamikazee – Smashed Knee (NI)
Shatzu was victimized by a good coach, better team, and bad luck in this matchup of heavyweights. The Shatzu coach accepts much blame in the lopsided loss as he lost hope rather early on and coached without enthusiasm. Apologies to Malthor for not making more of a game of it. Here's to hoping this is not indicative of my coaching abilities against the better teams but rather just a deadly combination of circumstances beyond my control. Good game Malthor and good luck.
