It was raining hard in Santa Cruz, and the local fans could not have been more delighted.

The Dwarfs from Orelahoma were on the pitch against the Slugs, and it looked to be an old fashioned game of smash beard Blood Bowl.

The first half went as expected, with UCSC securing the ball, and then heading up the left side, behind the outstanding blocking of Orran Darkbane. Bighammer moved the ball up the field with ease, then rewarded Anvilheart's hustle with a hand off for the TD.

The second half saw the rain continuing, and the Sooners simply couldn't hang onto the ball, much to their coach's frustration. Bighammer scooped up the loose ball, made a couple of quick moves and then outran the Sooners to the end zone for the securing TD.

As is to be expected, not a lot of big hits, just a lot of solid play from both lines. It was the sure hands of the Slugs, and the unsure ones of the Sooners, that made the difference in the match.

The Banana Slugs wish Orelahoma sunny skies and open fields in the rest of their games.
