“In a further display of accursed ball handling and tanglefeet, at least three players were badly hurt while dodging from the grasping slimy little paws of the garden gnomes of Belvain who managed to defeat the Varangians through the classic "Gulliver" tactic - get enough numbers together to knock the bigger guy down and then swamp him so they can't do a darn thing to all the little guys.

Starting the game with a large numeric disadvantage, internal dissension between aging and injured wanna-be stars, and lady luck telling them where to go and what to do when they got there, bookies and everyone else agreed before the match that the Varangians had no chance against a well coached young side. Everyone was right.
