#14 SDA Battledroid Kappa – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#14 SDA Battledroid Kappa – Smashed Knee (NI)
Separatist Droid Army (1-1) Order 66
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=1948061

Another game pitting good versus evil and it turned out to be a good match. The fearsome blocking of the SDA must have been a worry for the Jedi team before the game. But as it turned out they gave back plenty more than they took.

The first half was interesting and resulted in both teams having scored a TD. The second half saw both sides come close to a winning TD, but the score stayed 1-1 despite both teams best efforts.

With some fierce blocking form Order 66 and the highly mobile Lama Su, I have to say 'I think the force is strong with them'.

Another battle survived for the SDA and the hope of a rematch with Order 66 in the future. Good game 'Sera', well played. Next game offers my first taste of rival Sith darksiders the 'Sithtastic Bounty Hunters' (SBA). Can't say we're displeased about it. All this sickly, nicey nicey, Jedi stuff can get a bit much.

Darkside forever.

After our last game, beating, and left with the prospect of meeting an even more deadly foe with a reduced roster, we went back to the drawing board with our clones.

A splice here, a splice there and a touch of Rancor attitude and our clones were ready for their next challenge.

The Droids received first and so our linos were left to the mercy of fortune as the Droids lined up against them. The kick was accurate, too accurate and the Droids caught the ball, leaving them to focus on hitting the clones.

The droids then broke to the flank, their minds however seemed to be on passing the ball between a few key men rather than going straight for the score.

They pushed up the flank with moderate resistance… we plied on the pressure, getting the upper hand as Droids lay stunned, KO’d or stranded from the action but we were still unable to prevent the score. At least there was plenty of time for us to return fire! A blessing we did not have in our previous game, and better yet we had a full 10 man squad in which to attempt this with.

We lined back up against the Droids, determined to tie the game… then the Sith used the power of foresight and quickly rearranged their defence… a tactic that we had seen our previous opponents use… Sithtastic indeed!

We had no option, despite Jedi Padawan Lama-Su being closest to the ball, he ignored it to provide a valuable assist that enabled us to push and knock down most of the droids, whilst relying on a clone to pick the ball up from back field.

The Droids found it hard to recover, and cover our advance. The pass was good and Lama-Su was out of reach before the Droids had time to reorganise!

1 – 1

The second half and we set up for a central attack. A worrying kick left the ball exposed slightly at the flank so our plan was put on hiatus for a while. We covered the ball well, and fortunately too as a Clone spilled it. The Droids advanced, but the clones held them off as Lama-Su gathered the ball and made for the flank.

Deep into the Droids half, only yards from the end zone and with only one droid in reach, and tied up to boot, it looked almost guaranteed… but the Tackle capable Droid managed to take down Lama-Su. The Droids then gathered it and made an attempt of their own, a very good one. The clones battled well to tie p the ball carrier as best they could… luckily a trip ended the Droid attack and the game!

Slowly but surely, Order 66 is gathering strength, and with both Sith games behind us now, the road ahead should be an easier route.

Really enjoyed this game, it was very close as Stu said and in the end could have gone either way. The sooner I get Lama-Su skilled up the better; it’s pretty rough going with only one reliable player on the team right now.

AV7 stood up to the test this time around, although AV8 didn’t fair so well, but still a BH is good going. I think Stu probably held back after the massacre of the Dancers lay heavy on his conscience, so I likely favoured from that as not one foul was thrown.

GG mate – look forward to a rematch.
