The game started with the Joes kicking to the undead. It was bad kick right to the middle of the field, which the agile ghouls of Dying scooped up easily and moved toward the LOS and quickly built a cage. The first block of the game sends a Joe to the emergency room. Trying to one side the field with tacklers, the Joes move to the top of the pitch and make a wall. Coach CanvasBack quickly makes a hole and rushes through it. The strong and agile Joes try to catch the ball carrier, but to no avail and Levital and his quick feet manage to score early in the half. Dying then kicks off to the Joes, and within a few turns, the Joes come back with their first TD, scored by catcher Jose, thanks much in part to a tripping Ghoul that resulted in a serious injury.

After the next kickoff, the undead retaliate with another foul, getting the BH but having a DP ejected from the game, which slowed the drive. The ball carrying ghoul then brings the ball up and tries to pass it off to a teammate but the ball hits the ground and things look good for the Joes. Blitzing tacklers send another ghoul to the SI box but the ball bounces into the waiting hands of the Mummy Tut-n-Sockem. The Joes scramble to regain a bit of field position with 3 players now in the BH box and manage to do so. Mr. Mummy tried to give the ball to a quicker teammate but fails and the ball hits the ground. The Joes manages to recover and with only 2 turns remaining in the half, they get the ball to Jo Jo Dancer, who uses his average strength and agility to get the ball to the endzone, despite one ghoul who managed to get in the way.

The half ends with da Average Joes up 2-1 over OCCS ranked #4 Dying to Play You.

The second half starts with the Joes recieving, and to their horror, watch as Dying to Play You's fans get the ref. The plan was to just hold the ball, but now the game turns into one of pure survival! The ball is scooped up by thrower Joey and the rest of the Joes move into position. Dying does their best to put the stopper on the Joes play, continuing to foul without fear of consequence, but the Joes manage to make a path toward the endzone and move a few players into a good defensive knot downfield. Thrower Joey scoots through an opening and tosses the ball into the ready hands of JoJo. Dying comes back and gets their strip ball wight into position, who makes an un assisted -2d block, resulting in a push, which knocks the ball away. Then Ghoul Levitall falls tryin to dodge in to get the lose ball. Taking advantage of this, the Joes manage to push defenders away and sneak in with blitzer, Joe Mama, who grabs the ball and rushes toward the endzone with Joseph running interference. Again, the foul happy undead bring the boot down, this time BHing JoJo Dancer, making 4 BH on the sidelines. But its not enough as Joe Mama crosses the endzone, making it 3-1 Joes.

The Joes kick off, and manage to put the ball right down into the corner. The Undead start with all their players but one on the LOS, hoping to take out a few more Joes so they can score quick and go for the tie to OT. Levitall rushes back to get the ball after an ineffective gang foul on ogre Joey Buttafucko. The Joes retaliage by BHing Achem the agile wight, but then lose Hose B as he trips running into Dying's backfield to put pressure on the ball. The undead manage another gang foul on Mr. Buttafucko, this time sending him to join his teammates in the BH box. Slowly they move the ball upfield, almost dropping it in the exchange, but managing to put it within scoring distance. The Joes manage to put a couple of players in the way, then pro Joe Mama falls going for a few extra steps. Tut-n-Sockem then tries to send Jo to an early grave, but the apoth does his job and saves her. Then the ball carrying wight manages a blitz on defending catcher, pushes him back, then runs around, makes 2 gfis and scores, bringing the score 3-2 Joes with only 2 turns left.

Dying to Play you set up for the blitz. They kick and lo and behold, Blitz! With all their players set up at the other side of the field, the ball lands right where Levitall can rush over and attempt to catch, but he loses his grip on the ball and it hits the ground, just what the Joes need. They move some players into position, then Jose blitzes the nearby ghoul and manages to pull up twin skulls on a RR. The undead foul one more time for good measure, then Levitall sneaks around, grabs the ball and strolls into the endzone, tying the game up 3-3 going into turn 14. Hoping for injury time, but not getting it, the game goes into OT, with the undead taking out one more with a foul before the whistle signals the end of the regulation game.

The Joes are set to recieve the kickoff, but with only 8 players remaining on their feet, it will be a test to score. The undead kickoff and the bright sun comes out, but that dosent stop thrower Joey from finding his mark with Hose B, who skitters down the field with the ball quickly moving into scoring position with the ball. The game is decided when ghoul Levitall falls while going for it, attempting to blitz the ball carrier. Hose B easily slides into the endzone, making the game 4-3 and an Orca Cola Classic round 1 win for da Average Joes.

da Joes managed to net 25 spps on 9 different players, resulting in 2 skill rolls (block and jump up on two catchers)

Round 2 will be vs another highly placed team, Fejds Lucky Sevenz, who have won their fair share of OCCS titles.
