“Middenheim Challenge 01/08 - round 1

2008's first Middenheim Challenge saw a close fought premier match between the G-Town Harlots and the Adolphus Krieger. Both sides had their share of bad luck and fortunate rolls.

In the first half the necros failed a GFI and fell over the end zone line, but followed up with a very daring maneuver which involved double GFI blitzing with a warewolf and a string of 4+ dodges with a wight to score in the 8th.

In the 2nd half G-Town Harlots looked like they had their usual tournament curse. The opponent set up a perfect defense and despite the amazons mass of blodgers they suffered a lot of succesful blocks. Fortunately their AV held well. The necro lost a lot of players to KO's, but in their turn had a very good return after the kickoffs.

After Bunny scoring in the 2nd half the match was brought to over time and sudden death. Adolphus Krieger won the kickoff, but the G-Town Harlots were on edge and surprised with a blitz. A skirmish over ball possession saw the amazons getting a great chance for scoring, but Mona Yum failed to dodge away from her zombie opponent and fell short outside the end zone. A wight hurried in, snatched the ball up and attempted a pass. Then G-Town Harlots got their karmic rebound. Candi Kane jumped up and intercepted the ball. The agile blitzer then dodged away from her zombie and managed to rush in the ball.

Victory for G-Town Harlots and Gus had to retire in shame yet again!
