“Opening match of a scheduled SMACK.
Purple Nurple were shocked to see Ramtut III shamble onto the pitch wearing the Lobos team colors. We thought he died (properly) 200 years ago!

They start things off by knocking us about while we rush players through looking for an early lead. 2nd turn a nice dodge - handoff - pass to the witch elf shows what elves can do - ie show off! She now only needs to push a ghoul with 2d block to score but unfortunately she can't do it! Talk about doing the hard part and failing on the easy! St4 werewolf with the pickup, hrm this could be difficult. Desperate attempts at marking the necros ensue. Witch elf thrown into the stands by the werewolf with the ball. But then that werewolf is thrown in right after her!! She's enraged and grabs a bystander by the hair and using him like a flail KOs the werewolf!! The ball flies into the open .. not really near anyone. But some dodging, going for it, a crazy pass and a long sprint - and suddenly the dark elves have the ball right in the corner beside the endzone unreachable by any necro player. So it's 1-0 for the dark elves out of a seemingly impossible situation!

However things look grim with 2 players unable to setup and plenty of necro players looking for blood. A dirty zombie emerges from their dugout and stomps all over a line-of-scrimmage punchbag, while their werewolves get their claws out. I'm soon down quite a few players and the star werewolf is running upfield with the ball. Their dirty player is sent off by the ref so I decide the time is right to stomp on a fragile ghoul with my own DP- the gang assemble but he manages to fail his dodge (with RR) .. boooo!

1-1 at half time and i'm still 9 vs 11. Haven't done anything but KO any of the key players (werewolves, ghouls..) and they have woken up instantly every time. We get a BLITZ but are unable to do anything with it! Set up a 1d block vs the star WW but even with a RR tis for nothing.

Soon there's a ghoul in a cage which I'm sort of ignoring as I try and take out one of the werewolves with my MB'ing tackle blitzer / dirty player lineman combo. Finally we're able to BREAK HIS NECK! Though unfortunately the DP is ejected from the game (my first foul! sniff!).

We're now down to just 6 elves on the pitch and the key is to keep them from stalling so we have a slight chance of the equaliser. It's absolute madness with a mere handful of my players trying their best to get at the ball carrier - outnumbered 2 or 3 to one most of the time! Actually have a decent attempt once or twice (ie a 1dice block.. hehe) and really i'm just trying to force him to score which he eventually does with a couple turns left on the clock.

Can we do it? While we consider our options the necromantic fans swarm onto the pitch and scrag the ref! Uh oh!
In any case there's no rerolls and a veritable army of undead to get through - we're so nervous we can't even pick up the ball and the game is over!

In a last-ditch attempt to rally our fans star blitzer Khex Darksoul charges through focusing on a ghoul - but only slips and seriously injures himself! The apothecary is called but in the meantime droves of fans leave in disgust.

Great game Invencible, was very tough - especially the 2nd half when I was outnumbered 2-1 - but still had lots of fun!”
