Countless KO's against the rats helped take Gutter Runners off the pitch, largely unanswered by the Mouse Trap, which truly decided the match.

The real play of the game, or rather, ironic Nuffling of the game, was when, following perhaps 4 or 5 attempts to escape Mrs. Claws' tentacles by a lone gutter runner, in frustration Sighcrow shook his fist at the sky and exclaimed, "Can you roll low on those?"

Next dodge attempt: he escapes the tentacles! ...And snake-eyes the dodge...for yet another KO.

Lesson: With Nuffle, you have be very careful and specific about what you ask for! (Like two matches ago, I asked Nuffle for a casualty on a particular block. Block: double skull...I go down...Badly Hurt)

For a brief moment it looked like the Mouse Trap might indeed prove Better, when they scored 3 KO's in rapid succession, but then the dice took back over for Santa, and the rats' on pitch numbers again dwindled to the point of ineffectualness.
