It was a tough brawl between the Gutshakers and Fanatics. Despite the long legs and tenacity of the humans, they couldn't put a dent into the iron lines of the dwarves.

An early fumble by Stuntylegs Fasttrot looked to make it an ugly day for the 'Shakers, as it allowed the Fanatics to blitz the stunned dwarves. Despite this early mistake the 'Shakers were able to fight back, reforming their lines and allowing Stuntylegs to make it to the safety of a bearded pocket. Once the pocket had formed the 'Shakers marched down field for their first TD.

On the next drive the Fanatics tried a quick dash down the sidelines, hoping that their long legs would help outdistance their stunty opponents. Trying to gain a few extra yards, Catcher Keneda Catum, was tripped up by a debris left from a previous game. 'Shakers blitzer Smashen Yo'Face then retrieved the ball and made a miraculous pass to Stuntylegs who was then returned the ball down field for his second score of the game.

Only one injury of note:

Gutshaker longbeard Mace Steelbrow will miss the next game due to a gouged eye.

Also of note was the heated battle between the 'Shakers' Azazel Devilbrew and the Fanatics' Earl Blomkest. For much of the game these two ignored the events swirling around them to become involved in a heated brawl all to themselves. While no clear victor was crowned, Azazel was heard to say, "Next time that skinny no beard will get what's coming to him!"

The Fort Wayne Fanatics went to war with the dwarven Glorious Gutshakers. Even with their finest imperial effort they were unable to best the 'Shakers.

A great starting kick lead to an early fumble which put the ball deep in Shakers territory. Even with this 'gift' from the Emperor the Fanatics were unable to capitalize and the short-statured but large hearted Stuntylegs Fasttrot picked up the ball and was able to drive down the field for a touchdown.

Early in the second half the Fanatic's' catcher Keneda Catum made a mad 'FRENZIED' dash deep into dwarven territory, only to be tripped up and fumble the ball. After that the game quickly slipped into dwarven hands.

Some Fanatic stars were blitzers James Beowulf and Earl Blomkest. Beowulf made some spectacular blocks and even badly hurt the Guts' slayer, Krug. Blomkest in a show of human force almost pushed the Guts' Azazel Devilbrew into the crowd but was stopped short by the tenacious Devilbrew.

In a post game interview Blomkest was quoted as saying, "Tell that short-legged bearded mass of belly to move me to the top of his grudge list!"
