“Given that I had earlier survived a match vs Khemri where all six casualties were BH I didn't feel I had much of a right to complain about casualty rolls. Also, I nearly pulled off the draw (but only because Calcium wanted to score with someone other than the ball carrier). Still the 9 ELF points for this match beats my previous second best in category C by 10 so it wasn't all bad.”

“Well, I took this game on knowing that my team isn't built around taking on blodgers. Mainly due to my crappy skill distribution!
But as with every team I play, they can fight! And it started with my ever loyal crowd tearing catcher no1 a new one off a crowd push!
My Ogre got into the act + sent the other catcher no2 on a permanent dirtnap! Lambert's apothecary just couldn't revive him (1) on the pitch, as his horrified teammates looked on....
Then came the coup de gras as catcher no 3 tripped on a GFI and niggled himself!
Not often I get a hatrick like that!
From then on it was a pure numbers game, and although Lambert never quit (which I have great respect for) and gave me a few things to think about on the way I worked my way into the end zone for the winning TD.
Still, Lambert was cool about the deaths/niggle and didn't moan at all other than Ouch! A class act to be sure. Here's hoping that the rematch will be more balanced!
