“Last night at Raymond James the Hellbound Charioteers showed up for the "big" grudge match. The Buccaneers squad was still miffed from the loss of Night Train Lanes head in their last match up.
The Blood Sea/Sea of Claws was filled with ships and luxuray yachts as fans showed up from all over Norsca and the north Empire for the big match. The festival lasted 2 days with a lot of money flowing into the local economy. The party was topped off by the big game.
The game it's self was a smack down as both teams battled back and forth and laying the lumber on each other. The first half though produced some great hits but very little in blood.
Then the portent of death arrived as the late night rains from the sea of claws arrived at the start of the second half. The Bucs fired off the LOS and attempted a feint to the left and rolled Krikack to the lower zone. The rolling cage was centered on the Ax King and he was over run and fouled into the after life. The game was tied 1 to 1 at the time and the Buc's were felling good. BUT typical Buccaneers Blood Bowl was on display the second half. To many blown blocks, pick ups and just general inability to "close" out and opponeet.
Charioteers fire back after the demise of The Ax King and start laying it on the Bucs. 3 KO's and 1 BH in two turns. 2 forced Turnovers and the bucs fortunes changed to another deafeat.
Was a well played game and a lot of fun. The Bucs and Charioteers are allready in dicussion for the third instalment of this growing rivalry.
*Krikack blew to many key plays in the game and let the Bucs down.
*2 Turns of turnovers on failed blocks with rerolls really hurt the bucs.
*The feint left play would have worked IF the team can actually run a play with out screwing it up on the second move!
*"Punisher" was ganged fouled on 2/8 for a SI-N but the apoth was ready to go and saved the day.
*Fans take it out on the bucs on the 2/8 KO by invading the pitch and blowing up 5 buc players, which set up the gang foul to begin with.
*on paper the actually game resulted in nothing but SPP for the Bucs. Lost FF, did not make any gold and our TR went up just 1 point. It was allmost like we did not even play the game.
WE WILL MEET AGAIN ARKTORIS!!!!
