“First win for the Norn Iron lads! First half saw a tight defence against the Belles, and the oppositon struggled to gain any forward ground at all. Highlight was surely Gorgi Bestisson pushing down the right flank to run in the only touchdown of the game!

Receiving in the first half the Belles were slow and ponderous like their opponents, but showed no cutting edge on the ball or on their opponents, leading to a hapless, scoreless first half.
The gameplan for the Belles in the second half was to try to prevent the score, and perhaps even steal the ball, whilst attempting to stay out of harm's way for eight turns... A tall order, I'm sure you'll agree.
The KOs and CAS racked up heavily in the first few turns of the second half, sparked off by a notable hit from Marti O'Neelsson, which saw the death of Jane Couch. When Gorgi Bestisson scored in T12, it was pretty much all over for the Belles, with only nine of them lining up on the pitch for the restart.
The only other highlight was when Jenny Prowse BH'd a Troll Slayer, but this was a day to forget for the Belles.”
